ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

Dr Bruce Stevens, ISST Certified Supervisor-Trainer in Couples Schema Therapy

Dr Bruce Stevens (PhD Boston University, 1987) is the Wicking Professor of Ageing and Practical Theology at Charles Sturt University, Canberra, Australia. He is an endorsed clinical and forensic psychologist, who has written eight books for publishers such as Random House, Harper Collins, PsychOz Publications, Australian Academic Press and Wiley-Blackwell. He has written four books in Schema Therapy including Schema therapy for couples: A practitioners guide to healing relationships, with international authors Dr Chiara DiFrancesco (USA) and Dr Eckhard Roediger (Germany), Walden, MA: Wiley-Blackwell, 2015. He wrote Breaking negative relationship patterns, with Dr Eckhard Roediger, Walden, MA: Wiley-Blackwell, 2017. He also has Contextual Schema Therapy in press with New Harbinger with Eckhard Roediger and Rob Brockman. He has advanced accreditation in both individual and couple Schema Therapy. He is with Shayleen and he has four adult children.

Lynda Parry, ISST Certified Supervisor-Trainer in Schema Therapy for Individuals

Lynda Parry is a Clinical Psychologist who has been in private practice for 33 years. Originally an early childhood educator she has a passion for developmental psychology which led to 4 years post graduate study and accreditation in contemporary psychotherapy. She presented her final paper on Dream Analysis at the International Psychotherapy Conference in 2010. She is trained in psychodrama and worked at The Psychodrama Centre, Sydney for 10 years. The experience of running psychodrama groups and training in CBT has stood her in good stead for embracing Schema Therapy. She is the director of the Schema Therapy Centre of NSW.

Bruce and Lynda are all faculty members of the Schema Therapy Centre of NSW, along with Joan Farrell, Ida Shaw and Rita Younan.
